As the iPads open wide, so too do the eyes of the Grade 3 students waiting to use them in the library of Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts.
The children quickly but carefully take hold of them, place the small computers on the table and begin exploring, cracking open the virtual covers of Winnie the Pooh, Marvel Comics, Dr. Seuss, and even Shakespeare.
“To flip the page, you just slide it,” says eight-year-old Alex Binder, engrossed in an e-comic. “I like this better.”
